ABOUT ME
Who I am
I am a Business, Leadership and Life Coach, certified as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF) with over 700 hours of coaching. I have a background in software development, business analysis and consulting. I have years of experience in roles ranging from the lead Business Analyst on a transactional banking product, to Operations Director for a medium sized software development company, as well as a coach and mentor, within companies and privately.
Working with entrepreneurs and leaders in business led me to combine coaching with business analysis and consulting, when my clients were looking for direction and solutions in their businesses or personal lives. This allows me to combine all my skills and experience when working with individuals and teams to get positive results, and enjoy the work I do.


How I work
I coach using the Solution Focused approach. This is a forward looking model that focuses on solution development, building on skills and resources the client already has. It is not absorbed in analysing problems.
We work together to identify what the client wishes to change or achieve using questions that stretch their thinking and consider different perspectives. We do explore problems or challenges sufficiently to clarify and gain understanding. We identify occasions when the problem does not occur, or where a similar challenge has been overcome. We examine what worked to enable the client to develop a way forward.

ABOUT COACHING
What is coaching and how does it work?
Coaching is an extremely useful partnering process that assists people to find their own solutions to problems, cope with change or upheaval in their lives or move forward with situations they have been stuck with. Some of the many circumstances it can be helpful for include:
making different career choices or tough decisions
figuring out where you want to take your business, how to deal with an overwhelming workload, or manage your time better
dealing with leadership situations and conflict with work colleagues or family members
coping with anxiety in different situations
building confidence
handling difficult conversations

My role as a Coach is not to give advice or offer solutions, but to guide you through a process, listening and asking questions, providing a space for you to think, reflect and work out what you are really wanting to solve, change or achieve. Together we will identify what existing skills you can use to cope with, or solve, the situation you find yourself in, or create the situation you would prefer to have. We will uncover ways that usually work for you and strengths you already have. How you might start to achieve the outcome you would like will emerge.
Coaching is session based, meaning that we focus on something useful for you each time we meet. It may spill over into another session or several sessions, but we try focus on something specific each time. Sessions can be virtual or face to face, and normally take 60 to 75 minutes. You bring the topic or situation that you’d like to focus on and a willingness to participate.
